Licensed Professional Counselor and Owner

Sharika Pruitt is a  National Board Certified Licensed Professional Counselor with over 9 years of experience in clinical mental health. Sharika specializes in working with women and girl adolescents who battle with mental and emotional disturbances such as depression, anxiety, and mood related disorders. Sharika has recently received training on how to assist women and men in managing relationship anxiety and OCD. Sharika is affluent in several counseling modalities including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, DBT, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, and Mindfulness Techniques. Sharika’s ideal client includes adolescents and women (including postpartum mothers) suffering from mild to moderate depression and anxiety. She exudes a warm, empathic and inviting spirit and exudes a passion for the work and commitment that she shares with all of her clients. Sharika is a mother of an 11 year old daughter and 2 year old bunny and she resides in a lakeside home in Rainbow City, AL. She enjoys nature and has recently developed a passion for physical fitness and hiking on nearby nature trails.

Janisia is a cheerful and compassionate graduate from Faulkner University in 2021 with a Master of Science Degree in Counseling. Janisa has worked in Private Practice for the last year and conducted her internships in Private Practice as well. Janisia specializes in working with teens, adults and couples.  and is currently working towards her Marriage and Family Therapist certification.

Janisia is a Birmingham, AL native and is a mother and wife and values the importance of a healthy and balanced family dynamic. Janisia specializes in working with couples and provides marital and couples counseling. 

Janisia is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority Incorporated and also volunteers for several community based agencies within Jefferson County, AL. Janisia enjoys spending time with her husband and family during her free time.

Jenna  specializes in treating emotional trauma and while she is not a Biblical Counselor, as a Christian, she welcomes the opportunity to counsel those who are struggling with matters of faith and spirituality. Her approach is gentle, honoring, patient and when needed, direct. Jenna utilizes her natural-born talent as an empath to create a safe, and non-judgmental space and seeks to establish and maintain a strong therapeutic alliance with her clients. Jenna focuses on the client’s strengths while utilizing a variety of theoretical approaches and research-based techniques that have empirical evidence of effectiveness such as but not limited to Internal Family Systems, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Psychodynamic, PNB modalities (Interpersonal Neurobiology), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and Microcurrent Neurofeedback. Jenna is licensed in the State of Alabama as an Associate Licensed Counselor (ALC) by the Alabama. She received her master’s degree, Summa Cum Laude, in clinical mental health counseling from Colorado Christian University (CCU) in 2020.

Licensed Professional Counselor 

Andrea is a Licensed Professional Counselor, as well as, an Advanced Alcohol & Drug Counselor. She earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Auburn University in 2015. She has a lot of experience working with adolescents and adults to address substance use and mental health issues. She enjoys helping clients with anxiety, depression, developing healthy coping strategies, self-esteem repair and development, relationship conflict, and other mental and emotional disturbances. Andrea utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques, Motivational Interviewing skills, and a variety of other modalities. She is passionate about helping others to love themselves, learn to think positive, and heal. Andrea is also very grateful to be recovering from heart transplant so when she isn’t working she is happy to be able to go to the gym, go off-roading, or enjoy good food with friends and family.  Currently Accepting New Clients

Office Manager 

My name is Natasha Simmons and I am the Office Manager at Crossroads to Pathways Counseling.  I bring over 10 years of medical experience to the office as a Registered Nurse and office management skills . My goal is to bring my professional  knowledge and medical skill set experience to provide a wonderful and smooth experience for potential and current clients of the practice. 

I have two  beautiful children, ages 8 and 4.  Away from the office, I enjoy spending time with my family and loved ones . You can find me at various sporting events with my children on the weekends.  I enjoy spending time outdoors, reading and going to festivals and concerts.
