I am a National Board Certified Licensed Professional Counselor supervisor in both Alabama and Georgia with over 10 years of experience in clinical mental health. I specialize in working with women and men who battle with mental and emotional disturbances such as depression, anxiety, and mood related disorders. I have received extensive training on how to assist both women and men in managing relationship anxiety and OCD. I am also affluent in several counseling modalities including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, DBT, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, and Mindfulness Techniques. An ideal client would include adolescents and women (including postpartum mothers) suffering from mild to moderate depression and anxiety. I have been told by clients that I possess a warm, empathic and inviting spirit and exude a passion for assisting others in their healing. I am a mother of a 13 year old daughter and 1 year old French bulldog named Romeo and I reside in Rainbow City, AL. I enjoy spending time in nature and I have recently developed a passion for physical fitness and hiking on nearby nature trails.

Kristin smitH, LICSW
I received my Bachelors in Social Work from the University of Montevallo and my Masters in Social Work from the University of Alabama. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been in practice for thirteen years. I have experience in community mental health settings, psychiatric inpatient settings, and outpatient settings with mental health. I work with men and women, ages from children to adolescents. I have worked with a variety of clients who are dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief/loss, family issues, and many others. I primarily utilize Cognitive Behavioral therapy practices and interventions, and mindfulness techniques. I do not believe there is a "one size fits all" practice as every client is different. I make it my motto to "start where the client is at." I enjoy spending time with my husband, two children, and our two cats. I also enjoy shopping and spending time with extended family and friends.
